It is no surprise that more expensive cats to ensure that have more health problems. Therefore, here are the top five cat breeds.
1 Siamese: the average claim was for $396.44
2 Bengal: the amount of the average claim was three to $64.95
3 Himalaya: average requests was $215.99
4 Maine Coon: but the number of average applications transfer knowledge and $81

Today's pet owner you have a lot more choices than just a few years ago. On this website you can compare pet insurance plans from many different companies.

Remember, you should take your time when looking for a pet policy and try and get at least three quotes and compare before buying them to plan for your pet.

Making the choice to buy a policy is a personal financial decision that most financial planners and veterinarians disagree on.

What I do know is that the quality of the plans offered and the prices have improved a lot, even over just the last 5 years.

Alternatives

Getting a pet policy is not for everyone, which is why I also include several alternative choices on this website. Beside buy a policy you could just create a "pet savings plan" or buy Wellness plan, like those offered by PetSmart. PetAssure is another company that has a good alternative to pet insurance that you might want to check out.

Liability

Although 90% of this site is dedicated to pet insurance, I have included information on homeowner's policies and dog bite insurance.

Also if you have a pet related business you need to look into getting yourself protected from lawsuits.

States

Not all policies are offered in every state, which I why I created this section at Compare Pet Insurance Plans to help you determine which policies are available in your area.

Breeds

Some breeds cost more to insure than others due to genetic conditions. I have tried to list common disease conditions in these breeds that may be reasons why these dogs are more expensive to insure.

Also some dog breeds are called "dangerous" and it is often hard to get a homeowner's policy for these dogs. For some of these dogs on the list read: Dangerous Dog Insurance.

This is the initial master plan for the company and is a good option if you want affordable coverage for your pet. It covers accidents, illnesses, x-rays, surgery, cancer, recipes and hospitalization. The maximum annual benefit is $7000

VPI Superior plan

This plan is the most popular plan and offers you the highest reimbursement for veterinary costs. So if you are looking for the highest levels of reimbursement consider choosing this plan. This plan covers accidents, illnesses, x-rays, surgery, cancer, recipes and hospitalization. A maximum annual benefit is $14,000

VPI Pet well cared protection

Each of these two plans, the standard and the higher you can also add on your pet well attention that comes in two different levels. Basic well-maintained PET and Pet well cared for Prime Minister.

Puppy plans

You can choose between the primary or basic welfare Plan for puppies. Kitten plans

20. Of Oct, Pet Petplan Insurance - a review of available from Petplan policies

Petplan Pet Insurance is a company located outside of Philadelphia. They are one of the big companies that offer pet policies and claim to have more than one million customers.

Customizable

This company allows you to customize each of the three plans mentioned below. You can select what you want for your coinsurance, ranging from 0%, 10% or 20%. You can also select the level of deductible of $50, $100 or $200.

Bronze plan

The bronze plan comes with a limit of $8000 in the annual maximum benefit. This plan covered in basic fees veterinary for illness or injury. This could include hospitalization, tests, surgery, prescription of references and alternative therapy.

Silver plan

The Silver plan comes with a maximum annual benefit of $12,000. at this level you can get a limit of 250 additional dollars for the Kennel fees, lost dog or theft. This could include hospitalization, tests, surgery, prescription of references and alternative therapy.

Gold plan

The gold plan has a maximum annual benefit of $20,000 and offers $500 to the boarding fees or lost dogs. There is also an annual $1000 profit death and holiday cancellation.
